Vitamin C is one of skincare's best-loved actives: it brightens, helps even out the look of skin tone and protects skin from everyday oxidative stress. But labels have turned into a race for the highest percentage, and day to day that does not always work in your skin's favour.
More is not always better
Above a certain concentration, tolerance drops before the benefit grows, especially on sensitive skin: tightness, redness or tingling that end up sending the serum to the back of the drawer. An active only works if you use it consistently, and for that it has to feel good every single day.
Why 4% pure vitamin C
For HydraGlow C+ we chose 4% pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid): enough to notice brighter-looking skin with regular use, and gentle enough to apply daily, even if your skin is sensitive. If it is very reactive, start two or three times a week and build up.
A short formula, on purpose
HydraGlow C+ has just five ingredients. A short list is easier to understand, leaves less room for irritation and, if something does not agree with you, makes it much easier to tell what it was. It is how we practise the transparency we promise: clean, vegan formulas with at least 95% ingredients of natural origin, never tested on animals.
How to add it to your routine
- Cleanse and gently pat your skin dry.
- Apply 2 or 3 drops to face and neck, avoiding the eye area.
- Wait a minute, then follow with your moisturiser.
- In the morning, always finish with sunscreen: vitamin C and sun protection work together.
It pairs well with hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and retinoids (vitamin C by day, retinoids at night). Avoid using it in the same routine as other exfoliating acids.
What to expect
With consistency, many people notice fresher, brighter-looking skin within two or three weeks. Evening out skin tone takes longer and builds up day by day. Like the lotus flower, skin blooms at its own pace: no noise, no rush.
